"Growing Technology Consultancy Seeks Experienced Consultant
A thriving technology consultancy, actively engaged in critical projects on both national and international scales. A key focus includes public sector entities such as law enforcement agencies, governmental departments, and healthcare institutions, alongside partnerships with various private sector enterprises.
To accommodate the expanding business, we are hiring for multiple positions at Senior Consultant level.
This particular role is offered on a permanent basis and has requirements to be on client sites as and when required, typically 2 days per wee
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with application teams for the assessment and migration planning of existing on-premises or legacy applications to the cloud.
- Demonstrate a high-level understanding of security and compliance requirements throughout the design process, implementing appropriate security controls for data and resource protection.
- Optimize the performance and scalability of existing cloud-based systems, implementing solutions like caching mechanisms, load balancing, and auto-scaling capabilities.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, engaging with developers, operations personnel, and department stakeholders.
Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible and willing to undergo a high-level security clearance process.
Key Responsibilities:
As a part of our diverse team, you'll take on various consultancy assignments, including:
- Crafting business cases aligned with the green book five-case model and supporting clients in obtaining necessary approvals.
- Developing strategies for future service delivery in line with clients' business needs and broader business strategies.
- Supporting significant technology procurements and investments in new facilities, including the creation of procurement documentation, evaluation strategies, and bid evaluations.
- Defining and managing benefits, benefits measures, and Management Information to enable clients to monitor return on investment.
- Producing User and Service Requirements Documentation.
- Providing client-side assurance that proposed technical solutions are fit for purpose.
- Acting as a Product Owner/Lead User, offering a authoritative business perspective to suppliers.
- Delivering business change/transformation products, including stakeholder engagement management plans, communication plans and products, and training needs analyses.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
While experience within the UK Public Sector is beneficial, a background in business areas, programs, or projects directly linked to technology is essential. This role calls for intellectual agility, proactivity, and self-motivation, with the ability to apply a structured approach to unfamiliar subject matter.
Desirable experience encompasses various business or systems analysis methods and tools, Agile and Lean standards, Program and Project Management methods, and familiarity with public sector best practice guidance.
